Lezama was blue today, thanks to the 500 Oviedistas in the stands who watched their team pick up a point, against an Amorebieta side which made things difficult for Los Azules.
Femenías; Carlos Isaac, David Costas, Dani Calvo, Pierre; Viti, Brugman, Luismi, Borja Sánchez; Obeng and Borja Bastón made up the starting eleven for today's Matchday 26 encounter.
Virtually all of the match's excitement came within the first ten minutes, when both teams' goals arrived. Real Oviedo went out to take control of the match, looking to possession and combinations to break into the opposition box. One such piece of play saw some fine work from Borja Sánchez provide for Borja Bastón to open the scoring with a flick. However, Amorebieta hit back and levelled the scores just a few minutes later. The match changed completely following the equaliser, with Real Oviedo playing more directly and looking to break down the wings. The first half ended with Los Azules on top, but with Amorebieta creating more chances.
Things continued in a similar fashion after the break. Ziganda's side brought the ball out from the back well, putting together passages of play to threaten. Pombo came on in the first change, offering the Asturians something different. Hugo Rama then came on for his debut, while Javi Mier and Matheus Aiás also featured.
Los Azules added another point to their tally today at a difficult ground. Tomorrow will see preparations begin for next weekend's fixture against SD Huesca.
