Real Oviedo Head Coach, Juan Antonio Anquela, today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

As always in the lead-up to a match, the Coach began by providing an update on the availability of players for the Mallorca game, saying that, “officially they’ve not been given the all-clear. I think we’ll have a couple back, since they’re very nearly ready. Carlos is the only definite one; we don’t know about the others.”

Ahead of the weekend’s clash, Juan Antonio Anquela stated that, “we want to do well and make the fans happy. What happened to us the other day was cruel, but that’s football. We have to compete and go for Mallorca.”

Asked about the formation that he’ll use this Sunday at the Carlos Tartiere, the Coach responded that, “we’ll use whichever tactics we see fit. It’s true that I’d like to always play with a fixed system, but due to injuries we’ve had to change it. You have to adapt. It seems as though we’ve been lurching from one to another, but it’s not like that. We adapt to whatever we have to. You have to adapt to whatever’s best for the team. Sometimes you get it right, and other times you don’t.” In addition, Anquela highlighted that, “we are trying to make things happen with our conviction. I am convinced that we will change the dynamic. It’s part of the game and we have to face up to it.”

Finally, regarding the next opponent, Mallorca, Anquela highlighted that, “they are a very good team, who know what they want. They have a lot of strengths, play good football, and are dangerous,” he concluded.
