Today saw the final match of the 2019/20 season for Real Oviedo, who travelled to the Martínez Valero to face Elche. The match ended in a 2-1 loss for the Asturians.
Making several changes to the starting eleven from the previous match against Racing, Real Oviedo went into the game in search of three points to finish the season strongly. Elche struck first through a Jonathas goal, but Lolo scored an equaliser before halftime. Lunin also made several good saves. Los Carbayones took a step up after the break and tried to find a winner. However, Pere Milla scored a second for the hosts, putting an end to Real Oviedo's hopes of sealing one final triumph.
Los Azules will travel back to Oviedo tomorrow and will undergo the relevant medical tests in order to confirm the state of health of every member of the team.
