From this morning, the official store at Caveda 22 has a new display commemorating one of the historic elements of ‘Oviedismo’. A replica of the tower-scoreboard of the Stadium Buenavista is now on display in the store, showing the 0-5 result in which Real Oviedo defeated Atlético de Madrid, popularly known as ‘Jorobu’.
The scoreboard, which was has been reproduced by BSB Serigrafía, was inaugurated on 17th October 1943, with Real Oviedo beating Español de Barcelona 6-1.
As such, Real Oviedo proceeds with acts to mark the club’s 93rd anniversary, which it celebrates today, recognising our history as a fundamental part in the growth of the club.
