Pitch 2 at El Requexón hosted another pre-season friendly for Real Oviedo Vetusta this Saturday. After victories against UP Langreo, 3-0, and CD Llanes, 6-0, the B team took on Júpiter Leonés this morning in the third match of preseason ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Miguel Narváez, Adri Lopes, Marcos Lopes, Eze, Martín, Iván, Rubén, Coballes, Lamine, Castri and Joaquín formed the starting eleven today.

The first half was dominated by Roberto Aguirre’s team, who never stopped looking for the opposing goal and were solid defensively and did not give away any dangerous chances. Halfway through the first half, the B team won a spot kick, but Júpiter Leonés’s goalkeeper saved Joaquín Delgado’s shot, and the scoreboard remained unchanged.

After halftime, a different eleven came on for the second half. Egboh, Adri Fernández, Laso, Pereke, Omar, Cheli, Tejón, Dieguito, Pelayo, Nacho Estrada and de la Hera came on for the second 45 minutes but the 0-0 scoreline remained the same. Vetusta continued to dominate, but the chances weren’t as dangerous as in the first half.

Adri Fernández, Dieguito and Cheli had the most dangerous opportunities with shots from the edge of the area, although none of them managed to find the net. With this draw, Vetusta remains unbeaten in the pre-season and once again left a good impression that makes them optimistic for the new season.
