Real Oviedo defender Juan Forlín appeared in the Press Room this morning at El Requexón.
Two days after the match against Dépor, the Argentinian assessed his team’s performance, pointing out that “we did some great work as a team and wore ourselves out. That goes to show the difficulty of this division. We were facing one of the best opponents in the division, and we wanted to win against a team like that”.
Regarding his return to the squad, the defender stated that “it had been several months since I had last played, and I tried to help the team. It is hard not being able to play, but it feels better because the team competes and is professional. Coming back is motivating, but we have to keep working hard.”
Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, Forlín says that “we have to think solely about Las Palmas and try to do well. You can’t take them for granted; they have great players. There is a lot of football left to play, but we can only think about the next match, try to win it, and then we will see where we are headed.”
Finally, when asked what had been the key during his absence, Juan concluded by saying that “everything comes because of hard work. There are no secrets. You have to be ready for when the Coach calls. Hard work is what matters.”
