Real Oviedo imposed themselves with clarity on the affiliate team in each side's first rehearsal of the preseason, played in front of a big number of spectators on field number 4 at El Requexón. Juan Antonio Anquela put together a line-up with a combination of first team and Vetusta players on all lines, replacing the entire team after the break to give minutes to all the players, including the three goalkeepers. In the case of Javi Rozada, the affiliate finished with youth players that are also preparing for the preseason with Vetusta, and there were minutes for everyone.
Linares scored a hat trick in the first half, with assists from Ernesto, Álvaro and Steven. The latter enjoyed a clear opportunity after heading the ball just above the crossbar. In the second half and with completely new faces on both teams, Toché scored the 4th off a pass from Saúl Berjón, and Javi Mier put away a pretty point for the affiliate. The final goal was put away by Asier, finishing first time in the area from a centered ball from the left given by Christian Fernández.
The team feels good about finishing strong after an intense week of work, with two sessions each day. A similar schedule will continue starting on Monday in El Requexón.
