Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign defender Javi Fernández for the next three seasons.
Javi Fernández is 21 years old and was born in Cartagena on 3rd August 1997. He came through the youth team at UCAM, who he represented in Segunda B this season, playing 36 matches and scoring 3 goals. The right-footed centre back is known for his strength, ability in the air and quality when bringing the ball out from the back. Despite his young age, Javi Fernández has shown himself to have great footballing maturity, which has now enabled him to move up a division.
Having passed a medical at Clínica Asturias, the centre back will begin preseason on 8th July, where he will meet his new teammates and begin work under Sergio Egea. He will be available for selection to the Coach from the start of the season.
