Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign the Slovakian Erik Jirka, on a contract for the next two seasons.
Jirka is 23 years old and was born on 19th September 1997 in Trnava (Slovakia). The winger came through the youth ranks at FC Spartak Trnava, making his debut in the First Division in his homeland and playing a total of 113 matches. He signed for Red Star Belgrade in 2019. He has represented Slovakia up to under-21 level, and was also called up for the full national team, making his debut in a friendly against Bulgaria. He arrived in Spain in 2020, joining CD Mirandés on a loan deal, and scored five goals in 32 matches.

Jirka will join first-team training in the coming hours, after overcoming the necessary medical tests in Clínica Asturias. His official presentation will be at the start of next week, with the date and time to be confirmed. The presentation will be held in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere.
