Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign defender Oswaldo Alanís for the next two seasons.
The 29-year-old player was born on 18th March 1989 in Morelia, Mexico. He made his debut at Tecos at the age of 20, having come through the academy at Estudiantes. He moved on to play for Santos Laguna and Club Deportivo Guadalajara, accumulating huge experience in Mexican football; playing in 212 matches and a total of 17,365 minutes. He won two Liga MX titles and three Copa MX cups.
Alanís has also represented the Mexican national team on 22 occasions and has participated in qualification for the Confederations Cup and the World Cup. The centre back also has a knack for goalscoring, having notched a total of 17 during his career.
Oswaldo Alanís will play in the Spanish second division for the first time after signing for Real Oviedo, having spent the past few weeks training with LaLiga Santander side, Getafe. The centre back is good at bringing the ball out from the back, strong in the tackle and dangerous in attack.
The defender will now join training, after passing medical tests at Clínica Asturias, and will begin to work under Juan Antonio Anquela from this Wednesday.
