Asked about the differences between the club's squads last year and this year, the left back reasoned that "it's difficult to compare one squad with the other. They are similar, but there are small differences each year. The important thing is on a human level, and we have kept things the same in that sense. In the bad parts of a season it is the human group that gets you through it. It's a question of staying patient to allow the new players to adapt."

Regarding the level in the division and the next opponent, Pomares highlighted that "I knew that this year was going to be crazy given the quality of the teams that have come down and come up. Almería have very good players. Their start has been a bit strange, but it's true that in this league you can sometimes get punished heavily. In all of the teams there is a great standard and players that are not in the First Division due only to minor details. Almería have great potential, and they require us do very well defensively and stick together. We also have to be prepared on a mental level, and when we get the ball come out of the low block and try to push them back."

The defensive solidity of Javi Calleja's side was another topic for discussion in the Press Room at El Requexón today. "The defensive work involves the whole team. The chances of success increase when the other team can't attack you so much. It doesn't matter what your methodology is, that makes it easier to defend. I think that is the key and where we have improved a lot."
