This afternoon, at 12:00, the official presentation of the new Real Oviedo player Haissem Hassan took place. The winger appeared before the media at the Carlos Tartiere alongside Managing Director Agustín Lleida and Director of Football Roberto Suárez.
Hassam thanked the club for their efforts to sign him. “In July I was told about Real Oviedo’s interest and plans for the season. I spoke to the club and the Gaffer, and they explained to me the ambition they had. The best thing for my future was to come here and try to grow. It’s a step forward in my career. I’m very happy”.
When asked about his first hours as a Real Oviedo player he said, “Oviedo’s ambition coincides with my own. When you look at the squad, the goal is clear, to put Real Oviedo where they need to be. The key is work. I’ve just arrived, but hopefully I can play. I’m feeling good physically so it’ll depend on the coach”.
Managing Director Agustín Lleida explained the following about the signing, “Dribblers worth money, there are almost no players like him in today’s football. When we saw that it was possible to sign him we went after him with conviction”.
To conclude, both Roberto Suárez and Agustín Lleida were blunt. “The signings and departures will depend on the market. We have a good balance, but that’s not the question. Until the 31st we will try to have the best possible team. If there are any significant signings we see, we will fight for them”. Suárez concluded, “We don’t consider anything closed, we are always looking for opportunities”.
