Real Oviedo winger Marco Sangalli today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.

Ahead of a new week of preseason, the fifth of the summer for Sergio Egea’s men, the Basque wideman declared himself “happy to be here”, highlighting that “the squad and the work atmosphere is very good. We are hungry for the Coruña match.”

Regarding the group, Sangalli commented that “I can see a very good squad. The spine that was there is good and the lads from the B team are of a high level. The team is on the right path. It’s important to strengthen the relationships within the squad, and I hope it’ll be a good season. It’s important to build up links and get to know each other.”

With respect to competition in the squad, the winger believes that “it is good. We are going into a long season and the more of us the better.” In addition, asked about the lack of goals, Marco argued that “it’s relative. We are creating chances, and the more we have, the more opportunities we’ll have to score. The goals will arrive.”

Finally, regarding the two friendly matches remaining for Real Oviedo, the Carbayón player concluded by saying that “they have to be another step up. We have been meeting targets and getting stronger. We have to think about the Coruña match.”
