Real Oviedo won the friendly held this afternoon to mark the reinauguration of the Nuevo Ganzábal. Anquela took the opportunity to give minutes to players who have featured less this season, as well as trying out Forlín in the centre of defence. Johannesson and Mariga also came back from injury to start the match.
Real Oviedo clearly dominated the first half, and created enough chances to have taken a greater lead into the interval. Linares scored the only goal of the opening period, beating Javi Díaz from inside the box.
In the second half, and amidst constant changes from Real Oviedo, Langreo had some opportunities, but Alfonso was solid in goal. Anquela made full use of the youth team players available and the domination of the ball grew in the final minutes. Finally, Sandoval found the back of the net from Álvaro’s pass to score the second and final goal of the game.
