Real Oviedo and Diegui Johannesson have reached an agreement to extend the player's contract.
Accordingly, the player from Villaviciosa, who was previously contracted with the club until 30 June, 2018, has extended his contract for an additional year, ending 30 June, 2019.
Diegui Johannesson, who faces his fourth season in the first team of Real Oviedo, joined the club during the 2010/11 campaign as a member of the youth team. The Asturian climbed the ranks of Real Oviedo Vetusta, alternating in the previous season in the line up of the first team. Additionally, in his debut season in Segunda División, Diegui Johannesson also debuted with the Iceland National Team in a match against the United States on 31 January, 2016.
The Real Oviedo full-back will begin the pre-season on 10 July, joining his teammates and working under the orders of Juan Antonio Anquela to be as ready as possible when the official season begins.
