One of the Real Oviedo captains, Dani Calvo, appeared in the Press Room this morning, speaking to the gathered media at El Requexón in the week leading up to the Asturian derby. "They are very tense and vibrant matches. We are prepared for it, prepared to be able to win it."
Asked about the season so far and the performances shown, Dani Calvo highlighted that "we are coming off the back of a very good year. We have started at our best, particularly in terms of performances, but we have a squad that is capable of doing much more. We have to stay calm, because there are a lot of new players. We are building. I am sure that you are going to see a better Real Oviedo."
"I've played in six derbies, and the week before it is always a different one. We will try to let our teammates know how these matches are lived in Asturias. We have to show maximum concentration. Any mistake, in our favour or against us, can determine the outcome."
