Real Oviedo has agreed a deal with Club León for striker Federico Viñas to join the club on a season-long loan deal.
Federico Sebastián Viñas Barboza is 26 years old, and was born on 30th June 1998 in Montevideo, Uruguay. After coming through the youth ranks at Club Atlético Juventud de Las Piedras, with whom he made his first-team debut aged 19, the forward quickly made the move to Mexican football, signing for Club América.
During his stay with Club América, the Uruguayan scored 24 goals in 121 matches, between 2019 and 2023. His fine performances led to Club León taking the decision to sign him.
Federico Viñas continued his fine goal scoring form while with 'La Fiera', scoring 16 times last season.
The striker was a regular member of the Uruguayan youth-team squads, and was selected in the full national team squad for the warm-up for the 13th Torneo Sudamericano. He made his full international debut in a match against Argentina at La Bombonera.
