Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign Jorge Pombo on a loan deal from Cádiz CF for the 2021/22 campaign, with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Jorge Pombo Escobar is 27 years old and was born on 22nd February 1994 in Zaragoza. After coming through the Real Zaragoza academy, the midfielder made his first team debut during the 2016/17 season, going on to play 17 competitive fixtures that year. Jorge Pombo stayed at Real Zaragoza until 2019/20, when he moved on to Cádiz CF. Having joined the Andalusians in January of that year, the attacking midfielder formed part of the Cádiz side which won promotion to LaLiga Santander, featuring in a total of 12 matches. Pombo played a dozen matches in the Spanish First Division during the 2020/21 season.
Pombo has played more than one hundred LaLiga games and stands out due to his directness, power, and versatility, being able to adapt to several different positions in attacking areas.
