Real Oviedo faced UD Ibiza this afternoon. The high points saw the Queens of the San Mateo festivities take an honorary kick-off, and the competitive debuts of Miguel Llambrich and Carlos Pomares in the second half.
The first 45 minutes saw an even encounter, with Los Carbayones having the two clearest chances, and with Borja Bastón involved in both. A header from the Real Oviedo striker went close in the 4th minute, before his 30th minute effort grazed the post.
Los Azules started the second half in a different fashion, having chances to take the lead in the opening minutes through Lucas and Sergi Enrich.
However, a counter attack from UD Ibiza led to a spot kick, following a handball inside the area. The visitors converted the winning goal from the penalty spot.
Real Oviedo kept going to the final whistle and deserved more. Forward Obeng had two clear opportunities, including one attempt which struck the crossbar.
