The Ecuadorian emphasises the importance of adapting to the team, pointing out that “my teammates have welcomed me well and that helps me to grow”

Real Oviedo player, Romario Ibarra, appeared at Carlos Tartiere today, just before spending time, along with Nerea Sanchez of Real Oviedo Femenino, with participants from the Ribadesella Summer Camp.

With preseason now over, and ahead of the imminent start of the league season, the attacker discussed how he was feeling, saying that "I'm very
well, more and more connected with the group. There is a good changing room, with good people and we had a great preseason, both here and in Mexico. The Gaffer has made many good decisions and we are one hundred percent ready for Monday.”

With a full knowledge of the idiosyncrasy of Grupo Pachuca, the Ecuadorian evaluated what the training camp in Mexico meant for the squad: "In those ten days they got to know the Group, what it is and its facilities. The team saw first-hand what the institution is like, that they are dedicated to football, business and community matters.”

Asked about the competition in the attack, Romario Ibarra reasoned that "it is very important to have competition, it helps you grow as a player and helps the team. We'll see if I'm a starter, but it's clear to me that I have to support either from the sideline or give my best on the field.
Because of my characteristics I think it will be easy to adapt to the coach. Cervera wants a simple and direct game, because of my speed and
strength I think things will go well for me.” In addition, regarding his growth and adaptation to the team, the winger assured that "I have heard
good comments from people about me, that I’ve been looking better. As time goes by I will have more confidence and I will be more established. My teammates have received me well and that helps me to grow.”

Looking ahead to the start of LaLiga Hypermotion, the wide player pointed out that "Monday will be important for the preseason work to pay off. It would be good to start with a positive result, but this is a long process and we have to take it one game at a time.”

Finally, when asked about Carlos Tartiere and its magnitude, Romario Ibarra highlighted that "from the day I arrived the stadium looked very nice. It will be exciting to play here; the pitch is magnificent. I'm looking forward to playing at Tartiere. I've been told that the oviedistas come to
the stadium en masse," he said.
