Real Oviedo today secured a third consecutive victory at the Carlos Tartiere. Javi Calleja's side triumphed 3-2 against UD Almería following goals from Costas, Seoane, and Alemão, in what was an outstanding performance, and one which moved the team onto fifteen points ahead of the trip to Málaga next time out.

Javi Calleja's side got off to their best start of the season in today's encounter, dominating possession, getting forward, and pressing quickly after losing the ball. After creating several chances, the side took the lead in just the 12th minute. Cazorla's corner from the right wing picked out Costas perfectly, with the centre back heading home to break the deadlock. Real Oviedo did not take their foot off the accelerator, and six minutes later they made the score 2-0. This time it was Pomares who supplied the precise cross for Seoane to meet and head into the back of the net. Los Carbayones continued to dominate after doubling their lead, although Almería capitalised on their only opportunity of the first half to cut the deficit. Luis Suárez went through one-on-one and clipped the ball over Aarón Escandell to make the score 2-1. The away goal was the only setback of an outstanding first-half performance by Los Azules.

The second half began with the dismissal of Radovanovic, who had brought down Alemão as the Brazilian forward bore down on goal. It was a clear red card for the last man, and Almería had to play virtually the entire second half with ten men. However, Los Carbayones' joy was short-lived, and Luis Suárez grabbed his second goal to level the scores shortly afterwards. The match had entered into its most lively phase, and just three minutes after the equaliser Alemão found the back of the net with a flick to restore Real Oviedo's lead. In the final stages of the match, and following numerous substitutions, UD Almería received another red card, playing the final eleven minutes with just nine men. The Asturians had opportunities to extend their lead, but were unable to convert from their chances, and the encounter ended 3-2.

Today's win provided three important points and a third consecutive victory at the Carlos Tartiere, as Real Oviedo continue their improving run of form. Los Azules will be up against Málaga CF in the next LaLiga Hypermotion fixture.
