Real Oviedo and Sevilla FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Giorgi Aburjania. The midfielder has signed a deal until June 2021, with the option of a further season.
Giorgi Aburjania is 25 years old and was born on 2nd January 1995 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He spent his first years as a footballer in Georgia, representing Metalurgi R., Olympic Tbilisi, FC Dila and FC Locomotive. He signed for Cypriot side Anorthosis in 2014, before moving to Nàstic de Tarragona in LaLiga. Aburjania arrived at the Catalan side in the January transfer window and made 16 appearances in LaLiga Smartbank. He then signed
for Sevilla FC to play for the B team, featuring a total of 34 times. He spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Lugo, playing 29 times. Last season the midfielder was on loan at Twente and played 23 matches.

Having passed a medical at Clínica Asturias, the player will join up with training with the rest of the team in the coming days, beginning work under the tutelage of Ziganda.
