Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign striker Borja Bastón on a two-year contract, with a further year dependent on the completion of objectives.
Borja González Tomás is 28 years old and was born on 25th August 1992 in Madrid. He came through the youth ranks at Atlético de Madrid and made his first-team debut there in 2010. The attacker can boast vast experience in Spanish football, having played more than 240 LaLiga matches and scored 75 goals. He represented Real Murcia, SD Huesca, RC Deportivo, Real Zaragoza, and SD Eibar, playing for the latter in the First Division. The forward moved to Swansea City during the 2016/17 season, playing a total of 18 matches in the Premier League. He then played for Málaga and Deportivo Alavés, before returning to English football with Aston Villa. Borja Bastón spent last season with CD Leganés, playing a total of 2165 minutes and being involved in the playoffs for promotion to LaLiga Santander.

Borja Bastón will take his medical at Clínica Asturias before being officially presented as a new Real Oviedo player tomorrow (Thursday). The time of the presentation is yet to be confirmed, but will be held in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere.
