Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión is progressing with the team's daily work at El Requexón, and this Thursday he will be able to complete the workout with the full coaching staff for the 2023/24 season.
Carrión arrived in Oviedo with Domingo Cisma as his Assistant. The Andalusian, who has worked with Carrión previously, has vast experience in Spanish football, having represented Almería, Racing de Santander, Atlético de Madrid, Elche, and Córdoba. In 2021 he began work alongside Luis Carrión, assisting him in charge of Cartagena.
The change in Head Coach has also led to a change in the goalkeeping coach. Mauro de Ves, who boasts vast knowledge of the club's academy, steps up to the first team after several years with the B team.
Carrión's coaching staff has now been completed with the arrival of Fitness Coach José Mascarós. The Valencian has worked in the world of football since 1999. Having studied a degree in Sports Science, Physical and Free Time Activity, he has since formed part of coaching teams at Levante, Villarreal, Elche, Valencia, and Málaga, as well as having experiences abroad at Royal Excelsior Mouscron and Odisha FC. As well as being a Fitness Coach, he has also worked as a Sports Therapist.
Mascarós' arrival as Fitness Coach sees Jorge Tejada return to his role as Real Oviedo Vetusta Fitness Coach.
