Real Oviedo defender Dani Calvo appeared in the Press Room this Monday at El Requexón. The centre back began by being self-critical following the Cartagena match, saying that "what happened the other day can't happen again. You can play better or worse, but you can never lose your attitude, your hunger, or your character. They were superior in that area, and we can't let that happen. We have to learn from it."

With thoughts now on the side's next league fixture, the defender explained that "it is vital that we get three points from Sunday's match."

"We had been in great form at home since the Gaffer came in. We lost against Villarreal B, but we played well. However, against Burgos it was a strange match and we didn't create as many chances as we would have liked. Now we want to recover our home form and we can do that on Sunday. In addition, we will have our fans, the people who always there with us, supporting us."

The defender concluded by discussing Albacete and their fine season. "It's a great team with a great coach. They are a solid side that has dangerous players up front, as well as defending well. It's a great team and they deserve to be up at the top of the table."
