Dated 26th July 2022, the Spanish Sports Council has issued a definitive resolution to approve Grupo Pachuca's association with Real Oviedo. As such, the group is now the owner of 51% of the shares in our club, while Grupo Carso retains 20%.
Real Oviedo and Grupo Pachuca would like to express deep gratitude for the backing of the institutions and authorities within Spanish football in this new path that we are starting together. It allows us to continue to advance and grow as a sports, cultural, health and educational institution.
Having received official confirmation that this project is now a reality, Real Oviedo and Grupo Pachuca will remain forever available to all of the authorities within Spanish sport, be they local, regional, national, or international where applicable. We will work together to promote the growth of a project which aims to support all of those areas which make our sport great.
