Real Oviedo Head Coach Javi Calleja appeared before the gathered media this morning at El Requexón.

The Gaffer was asked first about the situation of the transfer market and Santiago Colombatto in particular, saying that "that is a consequence of the way that this transfer window is developing. At the end offers come in and players have doubts, and I think that there should be a solution which means that this stops happening once the league season has started. The player receives an offer, he gets tempted, but it doesn't quite work out. The important thing is Oviedo's interests. Colombatto is a great player and he is going to stay at Real Oviedo. Nobody can doubt his commitment or his professionalism. We have to forget about what has happened these past few days. The important thing is that he is going to be with us and we have him available."

Discussing Borja Sánchez and Braat, Calleja explained that "Borja is a player with undoubted quality and talent. There is a lot of competition in his position, with two places available to five players, and that is good news for the team. He is a player that we are all happy with. We will have to see what happens before the window closes, but I am counting on him like any other member of the squad. Braat doesn't have to accept any particular role, we have two great keepers. It's a special position because it seems like when one is playing the other never will, but it doesn't have to be that way. I am counting on both of them."

Real Oviedo will face Racing de Santander this Friday, in what will be Los Carbayones' first league fixture at the Carlos Tartiere this campaign. "It will be a different match compared to the away ones. Our DNA is to give 100% in every match, but in terms of playing style, I am convinced that we will have more initiative on the ball. You can sense the hunger to play at home, but that mustn't turn into anxiety. It has to be excitement and desire to demonstrate that with our play. We must enjoy the match in front of our fans."

Asked about the next opponent, Calleja declared that "Racing have a lot of goals in the. It's a very direct team, with very good players. We have to be aware, because if you are not alert then then punish you. It will be a nice match."

The Gaffer is happy with the make-up of his squad, and with the latest signing, Federico Viñas. "What I wanted has been brought in. That is positive and a huge advantage. It's up to us to get performances out of a squad that I believe is the best and is a deep one. I have no fear."
