Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to contract the services of Argentine defender and Italian passport holder Nahuel Valentini for the next two seasons, with the option of extending the contract for an additional season.
The 28-year old, born 19 September 1988 in Rosario, Argentina, developed in the youth academy of Rosario Central, the team he went on to debut with in the Primera División in 2008. He stayed with the team until 2013, playing three seasons in Argentina's top flight and others in the second division.
In the 2013-2014 season, Nahuel Valentini made the jump to European football, joining the ranks of Livorno, in Serie A, and signing next season with Spezia, an Italian Serie B squad, where he has spent the last three seasons playing a total of 90 games.
Nahuel Valentini has accumulated important experience in top division football and is now making the move to Spanish football by joining Real Oviedo. Nahuel Valentini is a center defender who stands at 1´84 meters, and his strengths include his speed, dominant game in the air, and excellent sense of anticipation. The Argentine fullback's sporting career has resulted in a total of 242 official competition games played between the first and second divisions of Argentina, and the Serie A and Serie B in Italy.
The defender will begin training with the team immediately, as he has already completed medical exams at the Clínica Asturias. He will work under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela to be fully ready when the season begins.
