Real Oviedo will take part in another edition of The Showcase this year, with the aim of finding promising young players to develop. The company's project is based on offering real opportunities to young people who dream of becoming professional footballers in the future.
The players who form part of the project will take part in a trial during the last week of July (24th-30th) at Las Rozas training ground, with scouts from many different clubs in attendance. The final day will see the Prize Ceremony, where each participating club will choose at least one player to join up with them for preseason.
Real Oviedo have participated in this project since its creation and shares the opportunities promoted by The Showcase, as well as the importance of developing young footballers. The club sees this initiative as a great chance to continue with its academy philosophy.
"We have been working with Real Oviedo for quite a long time, since the start of the project, and the most important thing is that we both have the same objective of offering opportunities to footballers. This is the first time I've been to Oviedo, and the truth is that I am delighted with the club," declared Marc Bautista, CEO of The Showcase.
