Real Oviedo striker Rodri came off injured during the final preseason friendly last Saturday, during the match against SD Ponferradina at El Toralín.
At the end of the match, the player travelled directly to HUCA hospital, where he went through a preliminary evaluation and had several medical tests done. On Monday he underwent an MRI scan, before travelling to Madrid hours later, where he was evaluated by FREMAP's medical staff. Finally, the decision was taken to operate, in order to treat the injury to his left shoulder. The striker has suffered a shoulder dislocation. The operation was a success, and took place at the headquarters of FREMAP in the Spanish capital.
Rodri has now begun the recovery process and is waiting to see how it develops.
