Real Oviedo Vetusta and Real Avilés faced each other this evening, in the latest preseason fixture for Jaime Álvarez's side. Real Oviedo triumphed on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Diego, Marc Alegre, Viti, René, Merayo, Joselu, Mangel, David Iglesias, Gonzalo, Vanderson and Javi Cueto. The match was marked by the referee's decision to disallow a valid goal by Vetusta just before the interval, while Javi Cueto did get on the mark for Los Azules. The team continued to build gametime ahead of the new season, with Pablo, Osky, Javi Moreno, Lucas Laso, Guille Bernabéu, Isaac, Eloy Ordóñez, Samuel Nnoshiri, Chus, Conceiçao, Víctor and Álvaro all also featuring. Real Oviedo Vetusta won the game on penalties.
The B team's next feature will kick off at 20:00 on Wednesday, when the side faces Marino de Luanco at Miramar.
