Real Oviedo began their Tercera Federación campaign this Sunday with a 2-0 home victory against L'Entregu, thanks to goals from Castri and Pelayo. The B team improved as the match progressed, putting in a complete performance and picking up the first win of the 2024/2025 season.
Miguel Narváez, Adri Fernández, Jaime Vázquez, Marco Esteban, Omar Falah, Rubén, Tejón, Miguélez, Castri, Lamine and Joaquín made up Roberto Aguirre's first starting eleven of the season. After an even first half, featuring very few chances, Los Carbayones stepped up the tempo in the second half, and the goal quickly arrived. Just into the second half Castri converted from a fine Adri Fernández assist to make the score 1-0.
Los Azules dominated following the opening goal, and had opportunities to extend the lead. Eventually Pelayo did make the score 2-0 in the 74th minute, just after coming on. The 2-0 win sees Vetusta get the season off to a good start.
Real Oviedo Vetusta will now turn their attentions to the coming league fixture against CD Covadonga at the Álvarez Rabanal.
