Diego Fabbrini was presented as Real Oviedo newest player this afternoon in the press room of the Carlos Tartiere.
The Italian was accompanied by Director of International Relations César Martín, who welcomed the player and showed his gratitude "for accepting the challenge" at Real Oviedo, highlighting that "he is a player with extensive experience, including a debut with the Italian national team and promotion to the Premier League with Middlesbrough. Diego is going to provide us with a lot. He is an attacking midfielder that can also play on the flank, an offensive player, different from those that we already have and we are sure he is going to be of much help to us".
On his behalf, Diego Fabbrini seemed "content to join such a great club as Real Oviedo, with incredible supporters". He went on to say that "joining this project and playing in Spain is a good decision, as Spanish football is good for me, it coincides with my style". Additionally, regarding his knowledge of the "carbayón" club, the Real Oviedo attacker stated "I have spoken with my agent and with Valentini, it's a club with a lot of history. I am delighted to be here".
When asked about what he brings to Juan Antonio Anquela's team, the Italian responded by saying "I hope to help the team with my game, training with my teammates to win the highest number of games possible".
In his last tour in Italy, Diego Fabbrini played alongside Nahuel Valentini with Spezia. Concerning the importance of having the Argentine in Oviedo to help him adjust quickly to the team and the city, the Italian said "we are friends and I know he is going to help me to learn Spanish quickly. It's important to be able to depend on him".
Finally, in regards to the possibility of getting minutes this Saturday against Cultural, Diego Fabbrini indicated that "I am well, in condition to be able to play minutes. The coach will be the one who decides".
After his presentation, the player greeted the fans who had come to welcome him in the Carlos Tartiere, and went on to visit the participants at the Campus Real Oviedo.
