Real Oviedo have reached an agreement to sign attacking midfielder Francisco Portillo on a deal running until June 2025.
Francisco Portillo Soler is 34 years old and was born on 13th June 1990 in El Palo (Málaga). After coming through the youth ranks at CD El Palo, he moved on to the Málaga academy, before making his first-team debut at the age of 19.
Francisco Portillo coincided with Santi Cazorla at Málaga, featuring in the side's run to the Champions League quarter finals during the 2012/13 season. After four seasons with Málaga, he moved on loan to Real Betis, with whom he achieved promotion to Primera.
Getafe would be the next stop, and Francisco Portillo would spend four years there, once again securing promotion to the top flight. He would then move on to UD Almería, picking up yet another promotion to the First Division.
The attacking midfielder spent last season with CD Leganés, and achieved his fourth and most recent promotion to the Primera División in the process.
Francisco Portillo stands out thanks to his vast experience in Spanish football, having played more than 350 matches in the First and Second Divisions.
