Santa Catalina today provided the backdrop to the fixture between Praviano and Real Oviedo Vetusta today, with the match ending in a draw.
With the big news being the return of Javi Cueto after injury, Jaime Álvarez chose a starting eleven made up of Berto Hórreo, Pablo Menéndez, René Pérez, Javi Moreno, Osky; Mangel, Joselu, Alex Cardero; Chus, Eloy Ordóñez and Javi Cueto.
The first half was a hard-fought affair, with Real Oviedo Vetusta looking for a way through but up against a well-organised Praviano side, which managed to deal with the Carbayón threat.
The match changed course after the interval, with greater spark and tempo from both teams and a more physical encounter. Los Azules took the lead when Javi Cueto headed home well from a Pablo cross. Real Oviedo Vetusta had control of the game and the better of the chances, but were unable to take their chances to extend the lead. A powerful initial strike from Praviano saw the hosts then capitalise on a Berto Hórreo parry to equalise. The leveller opened the match up, with the final stages end-to-end and seeing both teams create chances to win it. Chus, Victor Matovu, Marc Alegre, Isaac and Pedregal all featured in the second half.
The team's work and growth was rewarded with a point today. The B team now approaches a week which will end with a match against Lenense at El Requexón next Sunday.
