The GAM Press Rooom at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted the official presentation of Fede Viñas as a new Real Oviedo player. The Uruguayan appeared before the media together with Managing Director Agustín Lleida and Director of Football Roberto Suárez, to speak for the first time as a Real Oviedo footballer.

"It's a pleasure to be here and to come to this Club. It is very nice to have this opportunity and the faith they've placed in me. I hope to play my part for us to reach our objectives. I am coming in with humility and hungry to help. My wish and my dream was to come here and play in Europe. Jesús (Martínez) convinced me quickly and I am very sure about this big step that I am taking."

With respect to his strengths and characteristics as a striker, Fede Viñas highlighted that "as a forward I would describe myself as battle-hardened, like all Uruguayans. I like contact, playing with my back to goal, and scoring. I also sacrifice myself to help the team. I have had several nicknames, such as tank, buffalo...several nicknames related to strength, and I am very happy to have received them."

Finally, after the words from the latest signing, Agustín Lleida and Roberto Suárez took to the microphones to evaluate the squad's composition. The Director of Football stated that, "with Fede we now have a profile of striker that we didn't have previously, and one which it is difficult to have. We are happy because we have a lot of variants all over the pitch. We have to be able to compete against any game plan and in any match. We have a deep, well-stocked squad."
