Real Oviedo's captain of the two past seasons, Borja Bastón, will not be with the club next season, following three years in Asturias and the end of his contract. Born on 25th August 1992, the striker arrived at Los Azules in 2021/2022 from CD Leganés.
Last season saw Borja Bastón play a total of 38 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 2 assists. He had finished the 2021/22 campaign with 22 goals, finishing as joint top scorer in the division, alongside Cristian Stuani.
