The keeper arrives from UD Las Palmas on a two-year deal

Real Oviedo has reached an agreement to sign Aaron Escandell on a contract running until June 2026.
Escandell is 28 years old and was born on 27th September 1995 in Carcaixent, Valencia. He arrives at Los Azules from UD Las Palmas, having played five matches with his previous club during the 2023/24 campaign. The keeper played two top-flight fixtures last season, against FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC, as well as three Copa del Rey encounters.
After progressing through the youth structure at Valencia, he joined Málaga's Under-19s, before moving on to Granada in 2017. He has played a total of 14 matches in the First Division, spread across four seasons, for Granada and Las Palmas. He also played in the Europa League while at Granada. Escandell has also played a total of 37 matches in Segunda División, representing Granada and FC Cartagena.

Aarón Escandell will now undergo a medical at Clínica Asturias, before joining up with first-team training for the start of preseason.
