On Tuesday, Real Oviedo goalkeeper Leo Román was presented with the Mahou 5 Estrellas Player of the Month award for April. His sensational work in goal, along with his match-winning performances, earned him this award from the fans. Appearing before the gathered media in the Press Room, he stated that, "it is exciting and a reward for my work, but also for the work that the team has been doing."
The keeper then explained how the squad is doing physically and mentally, who was his idol in his early years as a goalkeeper, and what he thinks after making his usual interventions inside the area.
Leo Román was the final Jugador Cinco Estrellas Player of the Month of the campaign, ahead of the announcement of the Player of the Season award, which will be published on the profiles of @futbolmahou and @realoviedo.
