Real Oviedo played two friendly matches at the Pinatar Arena on Saturday. Javi Calleja’s team, who had defeated Getafe CF 0-1 in the first preseason encounter of the summer, faced Albacete Balompié and CD Eldense this afternoon in two friendlies where the squad again showed good performances and had the chance to prepare to be in the best possible shape for the start of the season.
For the match against Albacete Balompié, Javi Callejo started with Aarón Escandell, Rahim, Costas, Jaime Vázquez, Lucas, Sibo, Del Moral, Sebas Moyano, A. Cardero, Millán and Alemão. Los Azules dominated during the 45 minutes of this first friendly, which Real Oviedo won 2-0 with goals from the Brazilian striker and former Villarreal B midfielder Alberto Del Moral.
The same eleven played against CD Eldense in the second game of the afternoon, although as the minutes went by, Calleja brought on the following players. Aarón Escandell, Lemos, Dani Calvo, Oier Luengo, Pomares, Dotor, Homenchenko, Borja Sánchez, Paulino de la Fuente, Miguélez and Paraschiv.
Alemão, in the early stages, had the clearest chance but his shot went wide. Despite this chance, the match ended with a goalless draw, with the most notable aspect being the good performance that Real Oviedo once again demonstrated on the pitch.
The last friendly in Murcia will kick off at 10:00 on Wednesday against Al-Ettifaq Club.
