Real Oviedo centre back David Costas appeared before the gathered media in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning. The defender began by analysing Sunday's comeback win against SD Ponferradina, stating that "the start of the match was difficult for us, although it wasn't so bad as to have been two goals down. The Gaffer told us to simplify things at halftime and to get down the wings, and that's where the first goal came from."

Regarding the run-in to the league season, David Costas highlighted that "we aren't thinking about the playoffs. Until very recently we were fighting to get away from the relegation zone. Now we are only thinking about winning and having a good end to the season."

The Galician defender is a key piece in Álvaro Cervera's team currently, although injury has prevented him from participating in as many matches as he would have liked this season. "It's been a difficult season, but I am feeling good now and the team is safe. We have been on a good run and I hope we can keep it going. We want to finish the season well."

David Costas concluded by talking about Sunday's match against Real Zaragoza at the Carlos Tartiere. "It's a team that is doing things well. In terms of the impression they give and their play they are doing well. They have very good players for the division and they have suffered from ups and downs this season like we have."
