Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today and spoke with the gathered media.

The new Gaffer is only thinking about the fixture against Eldense and his hopes of getting the three points. "All we've thought about is Sunday's match, how to hurt Eldense, and how to prevent them from hurting us. It's about getting the three points there, because it would be very important going into a week with three matches. The team looks prepared and it's important to get points this week. The team is going there with hunger and excitement."

Following the encounter with Valladolid, the team has been able to complete a full week's training under Luis Carrión. "I'd wanted a long week to work on things. We've talked a lot and watched the video from the other day. We are happy with the week's work and thinking about winning on Sunday."

The new coach was also asked about the squad and the team that he has found upon arrival in the capital of Asturias. "I think that it's an obedient changing room. They are trying to do everything asked of them, just as they did before. Of course, when you win it is easier for the message to get through, and it's harder to get your message across when you don't win. That's how it is. I've been a footballer and that's what happens. I think that the players are convinced and they feel good, and that's how I see them going into Sunday. I think that we will beat Eldense and that little by little we will start to do better."

Finally, discussing Sunday's opponent, Luis Carrión declared that "they are a good team, they are competitive, and they have options. In my opinion they've signed well, buying second division players with a lot of experience. I know their coach and it's a well-worked team. It's not by chance that they beat Eibar and competed well with Espanyol. I think that if we are at our best then we will have a good chance of winning."
