The Asturian has departed his role as Real Oviedo Vetusta Head Coach after three seasons

Real Oviedo have taken the decision to bring an end to Jaime Álvarez's contract as Real Oviedo Vetusta Head Coach.
 
The coach returned to Los Azules in the summer of 2021, and went on to spend three seasons in charge of the club's B team.
 
In his first season the Asturian achieved promotion, in a great season which saw the team crowned champions of the Tercera División in Asturian football. After moving up to the Segunda Federación, the side was able to secure survival last season, even fighting for a playoff place. However, Real Oviedo Vetusta's current results and situation this campaign have led to the Club deciding to bring an end to his contract.
