Real Oviedo midfielder Jaime Seoane appeared before the gathered members of the media in the Press Room this Tuesday at El Requexón. Following the defeat in the Asturian derby, Los Azules are now looking to bounce back with what would be a morale-boosting win against Cartagena at the Carlos Tartiere. "Every week is important. It's a long season, and we can only focus on the present. We have to give everything in training in order to play as well as possible and get the three points."

Evaluating the match against Real Sporting, the midfielder highlighted that "we are gutted. It was a very important match for us. It's a huge blow, but we have to remember that it's still only three points. Our aims are long-term ones. We have to take it week by week and improve. Hard work, effort, and turning over a new leaf. It's a blow which we are going to learn from and which will make us stronger."

He added that, "they beat us for intensity. It wasn't all bad, but it was decided on small details. We have to turn over a new leaf, learn from the defeat, and look to be better in the future."

Finally, Seoane declared his optimism and confidence in the team being able to turn things around. "We mustn't compare last year to this one. The start we had last year was worse than this year and the team improved as the matches went by, and it has to be like that this year too. Our daily work is our objective. We have to focus on the team improving week by week."
