Real Oviedo Head Coach Luis Carrión appeared in the Press Room this morning at El Requexón, speaking to the gathered media. Real Oviedo are going into a vital match in the battle for a playoff spot this Sunday, and the Carlos Tartiere stadium will again have a large turnout. "No matter what happens, people are proud of the team. We feel identified with it. It can be a great year. If we want to get into the playoffs, it's because we want to go up. We must take advantage of this opportunity. We are all going to push hard on Sunday to achieve the goal of promotion," emphasised the Real Oviedo coach.

Regarding the next opponents, the Catalan coach did not hesitate to highlight that "they have played better games than their results suggest. Since the new coach arrived, things have changed. They are a well-worked team, they do things well and it will be difficult," he added.

When asked about the unified kick-off times this Sunday, Luis Carrión was clear. "We try to isolate the players from the rest because we want to be better than the opponent. But depending on the results on Sunday, things could change a lot. The most important thing is to do things well. If we win on Sunday and some results go our way then we can seal a playoff place," he explained.

"I believe in everyone's honesty and can't fill the team with excuses. I don't complain when there are injuries, and I don't complain about refereeing decisions. I have never made excuses for anything, and the controversy ended when the Espanyol-Oviedo match ended. My way of being is to want a team without excuses," concluded the Real Oviedo coach, bringing an end to the controversy from the previous matchday.
